This month, two of our members High Tech Campus Eindhoven and Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC) officially opened a new MedTech & BioTech Innovation Center with support from our partners Brainport Development and the BOM (Brabantse Ontwikkelings Maatschappij) .
This center, named CUREON, connects MedTech and BioTech innovators within the Brainport ecosystem, helps early-stage and scaling companies in medical technology, and moves biomaterials faster from research to market with advanced facilities and a strong partner network.
Otto van den Boogaard, CEO High Tech Campus Eindhoven: “This Innovation Center is located in the heart of a rich ecosystem for innovation. It provides a home base for growing companies and offers state-of-the-art prototyping and production for MedTech devices and biomaterial-based therapies.”
The name “CUREON,” which reflects energy and progress: CURE for healing, and ON for turning innovation, collaboration, and the future of healthcare ON.
The spirit of collaboration was made tangible on stage when Bart Sanders, CEO & Founder of STENTiT and our boardmember Jan Rietsema, Director of Smart BioMaterials Consortium (SBMC) sealed the deal with STENTiT officially becoming the first user of the brand new SBMC cleanroom.
